Whether it’s a small local establishment to a fine dining restaurant I love eating out. It is one of my favourite things to do but I do get disappointed when I really fancy going somewhere nice and can’t get a table.

I recently came a great new app called Uncover Dining which lets you book last minute tables at awesome places in London on the day. So it’s great when you’re out and about or if you have a last minute date. It lets you book at cute little places and also Michelin starred restaurants.

This week my friend Bina and I really fancied straying away from the local so we decided to venture into Central London. We wanted to go somewhere nice so checked out the app.

We saw that a place I wanted to visit had tables available tonight so we booked a 6.30pm table at Opera Tavern in Covent Garden. It was really easy to book because the app already has your details so you choose a time and the number of people and click! Then you get an email to confirm your booking – it is as easy as that! Literally takes seconds. No needing to contact the restaurant or calling anyone – Uncover does all the work for you. It was really easy to download the app too and there is the facility to add places to a wish list while you browse so that you can keep an eye on places you really want to go to rather than having to search when you’re hungry!

So Opera Tavern – a fantastic tapas place situated in the heart of the theatre district in Covent Garden. It was really easy to find; about a 5 minute walk from the station and the restaurant had our reservation ready – a cute corner table! We were served by a lovely and attentive waitress called Chantelle who was on hand to advise us about drinks and food!

We ordered the following dishes but I must say the scallops, asparagus and patatas fritas were particularly amazing. HOWEVER the dessert was TO DIE FOR! We ordered the cold chocolate fondant with salted caramel and espresso ice cream which was creamy, chocolatey and luscious!

Now for the piece de resistance:

Opera Tavern I think is soon going to become one of my favourite places to eat at in London and being able to book through Uncover Dining was fantastic – I wish them both the very best!
