Emeli Sande – Our Version of Events Tour

It’s a well known fact I love concerts. Last year alone I started with The Black Keys, went through with Jay-Z & West and ended with Ed Sheeran but there are few gigs with touch a nerve; last night at the Hammersmith Apollo Emeli Sande did just that. She touched my soul. Only Adele has ever done that before. Singing songs from her debut album Our Version of Events right from when she started to the end, the experience of seeing this amazing woman sing her heart out just mesmerised me. She started with all her hits like Heaven, Read All About It, Where I Sleep and ended with Next to Me. During Suitcase I had tears in my eyes as I did with My Kinda Love. I was accompanied by my dear friend Rita Morar who is also a beautiful singer and I felt proud to have her beside me sharing this wonderful woman’s words. There was a fantastic surprise when Emeli was joined on stage by Labrynth for Beneath Your Beautiful and the crowd went crazy! Supported by Mahila and Sam Smith (whom you might recognise from Latch by Disclosure) Emeli Sande’s gig is one that will remain in my heard and heart till my dying day. The only thing I am slightly disappointed about is that she didn’t sing my favourite song of hers called “Maybe” but you can’t have everything! I am happy to say I was part of Emeli Sande’s debut album tour. If you ever get a chance to see her do not ever give up the opportunity as it is one which will remain unforgettable.
