Fire

Fire

A fire burns out; it’s eventually always does,

How do I know if it is you I should trust?

Should I proceed with caution?

Is it safe to venture into your world, is it a must?

Life confuses me, so do feelings,

I don’t want to be left reeling,

Hurled into a world devoid of any emotions,

Words or letters.

Pixie dust needed,

A fairy I need to meet,

Follow her down a dusty lane,

Wishes in tow, searching for them high and low,

Wish for something that could happen.

Where’s that chicken soup for the soul?

Otherwise i’ll end up in just another hole,

See those bright lights,

Show them to me,

Or i’ll just end up throwing myself into the bonfire.

Will end up just that girl they used to know,

The one that jumped into the fire and was never seen again,

So show me the way,

Should I proceed with caution?

How do I know if it is you I should trust?
