Google describes fusion as ‘the process or result of joining two or more things together to form a single entity.’
I was recently invited to attend the opening bash of a brand new Asian cakery with French influences, based in the heart of Covent Garden. I have decided to keep this review more visual than my other reviews because I think on this occasion the colours and textures really speak volumes rather than me babbling on for 500 words as I always do.
But in a few words…
We arrived on cold evening and my guest Rita Morar and I were greeted by a friendly team of people. When we arrived it was really nice to be somewhere that we knew the food was going to make you feel warm, happy and fuzzy inside as well as being healthy.
It’s what French and Asian food is supposed to do right? The whole evening I really didn’t feel as if I was in London but on a beautiful Parisian street.
The evening consisted of trying some lovely delicacies which we haven’t tried before. The main ingredient that Pan De vie uses in matcha tea and during the course of the evening we tried lots of unique and innovative food such as matcha buns, sushi, matcha coffee, matcha mojitos and matcha cookies. One of the most fascinating ingredients I was also able to try was charcoal buns.
So here is my collection of pictures:

Pan De Vie is a place that London has needed for a really long time and I can see that it will go strength to strength! The flavours are very subtle, unique, new healthy and really exciting. The colours are wonderful and service top-notch. I shall definitely be frequenting Pan De Vie on a regular basis.
