I love a bit of gin and as i’ve gotten older i’ve started to enjoy it even more, especially a gin cocktail or a gin and tonic with cucumber. Yum yum!
I recently heard about a (currently unofficial) world record breaking attempt by one of my favourite London restaurants. Langley’s No.8 Gin will be partnering with bars, restaurants and pubs globally at 7pm GMT to raise a glass to Great British Gin on the official Word Gin Day, 13th June 2015. Langley’s No.8 is pleased to announce that The Jones Family Project is their official partner for London, the spiritual home of gin.

If you want to start your World Gin Day off early don’t fear as throughout the day you’ll be able to purchase exclusively priced Langley’s No.8 G&Ts and Negronis at the Shoreditch restaurant & bar. All good gin drinkers should be rewarded for their excellent taste so every gin drink ordered throughout the day will come with a raffle ticket giving you the chance to win exclusive prizes.

Not enough to just drink your gin? Even the chefs have caught gin-fever with their Langley’s No.8 & Orange Semifreddo with orange and crushed meringue dessert.

The main event takes place at 7pm GMT with the hashtag, #GinOClock when The Jones Family Project will be linked
up with countries across the world including; Holland, USA, Canada, Poland, Italy and even the Cayman Islands raising their glasses to British Gin with a complimentary Langley’s G&T for any raffle ticket holders making World Gin Day a truly global event and proving that although a ‘free lunch’ doesn’t exist, a free gin certainly does.
Amit Joshi, co-founder of The Jones Family Project, explains why they are the only place to be for World Gin Day; “There’ll be a brilliant atmosphere at our bar all day, it’s a great opportunity to showcase all of the fantastic gin brands there are on the market. We worked with Langley’s No.8 on a two month ‘Dine in a Distillery’ pop-up in our restaurant last year and ever since it’s been a customer favourite and remains top of our G&T menu today, so we’re delighted to be working with Langley’s No.8 on World Gin Day”.

You can also look out for free events on Gin throughout June on Facebook and Twitter. For all of these events you’ll receive un-matchable prizes and sometimes even free Langley’s No.8 G&Ts.
If you are not able to visit a bar you can join in at home by taking a picture of yourself with a G&T in hand and tweet it with #GinOClock to have the chance of winning one of many social media only competitions including a ‘one off’ gin tasting on a yacht.
