“So long as you have food in your mouth, you have solved all questions for the time being.”
Franz Kafka
In a year where the Foodie Section of my blog grew and grew I wanted to share with you a few of my favourites from 2014.
Myself and the guests that accompanied me have chosen three that really stand out from 2014 and in no particular order they are:
La Porte Des Indes – with food inspired by former French occupied colonies of India and with Creole influences too, La Porte is a magical haven of tranquillity where your tastes, senses and smells are taken on a trip. The stand out dishes were scallops for starters, the dhaba murgh within mains and the phirni for dessert, as well as the Pomerita cocktail.

Next a really fun, unique and quirky place I visited was Senor Ceviche… this is Tapas style Peruvian food with a touch of Japan. The stand out dishes were the Yucas, the namesake dish Senor Ceviche and the SUPER super chicken. The cocktails are amazing here let’s say they don’t skimp on the alcohol.

Last but not least the Strand Dining Rooms, located on The Strand, which I loved for its Sex and The City feel and British food. The stand out dishes were the pear, stilton and fennel salad, the seafood crumble and the baked vanilla cheesecake.
Other paces which deserve a mention are Hombres, Lazeez, Ping Pong, Salt n Pepper, Wild food Café and Mas Q Menos. I didn’t dislike any places I went to so just a little thank you to all the restaurants I visited in 2014 for having myself and my guest/s. It was a real pleasure checking out your food, dining & drinking with you, experiencing new cuisines and generally having a great time. I look forward to visiting lots of new places in 2015 and seeing the foodie section grow even more.
I can’t wait to check out more and more exciting new places in 2015 so if you would be interested in having your bar, restaurant or any kind of foodie place featured on my blog just send me an email at priyamuljiblog@hotmail.co.uk
