World Music Day

Today is world music day and today I thought I will share the music I have on repeat in my car at the moment.

Let’s start with my current woman crush Ellie Goulding. I love her songs Lights, Starry Eyed and Guns and Horses. She is a gorgeous woman with an extremely distinctive voice. I’m not sure if she writes her own lyrics or not but her lyrics are thought provoking and really resonate with me.

The Foo Fighters; a band I am dyyying to see in concert! I need to get their new album ‘Wasting Light’ in my life. Love the songs they have released from their new album so far. The songs are entitled Rope and Walk. However my fave Foo Fighters song of all time is Best Of You.

Katy Perry’s latest release from her album Teenage Dream if ‘Last Friday Night’. A happy, guilty pleasure. The title song Teenage Dream is one of my favourite songs of all time. Every girl wants a guy to love her ‘without any makeup on.’

An Indian movie I am looking forward to is Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara starring Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif and (swoons/takes deep breath) Farhan Akthar who’s voice I am absolutely in love with. Farhan lent his voice to the soundtrack of Rock On in 2008 and a particular favourite of mine from that soundtrack is Pichle Saat Dinon Mein (in the last 7 days).

Happy World Music Day!
