When you live in Harrow, there’s always plenty of great Indian restaurant choices but since Spice Shack opened close to work last year, I’ve become a regular there as have local friends and work colleagues. Honestly, it’s one of my recent faves. So I wanted to write a little blog post about it.
Based on Station Road, close to Harrow on the Hill station, Spice Shack serves Indian street food as well as curries. They also have yummy lunchtime dishes which include Bombay-style sandwiches. There’s a great drinks selection including wines, beers and soft drinks, they even have fresh passion fruit juice! The team there are always so lovely and Sandeep and his team always look after their visitors so well by recommending their best dishes.
Now, let’s talk about the quirky décor. There’s a colourful Amitabh Bachchan painted mural on their wall which was created especially for Spice Shack (I believe it’s an image from Sholay), which if you’re a Bollywood lover, you’ll deffo want to take a selfie with it.
I have to say my fave dish here is an unusual one, it’s the broccoli. It’s made with their signature sauce it has crunch and is super tangy with a touch of spice.
Also, make sure you check out the chicken karahi with garlic and coriander naan, pineapple punch pani puri, okra fries, aloo berry chaat, paneer makhani and samosa aloo chaat. Oh and the masala chips!
Here’s a few more pics I’ve taken on my visits:
Make sure you check it out soon, you can also Spice Shack at BoxPark Wembley. Tell them you read my blog if you visit!
