The Kite Runner By Khaled Hosseini

This book has been around for a while and has been made into a movie but I must warn you – do NOT watch the movie without reading the book!

I can’t tell you much without giving the story away.. The Kite Runner is about two young boys Amir and Hassan from Kabul. Amir befriends Hassan who is the son of their servent.

 Things happen to Amir and Hassan which will change things forvever. Due to events in afghanistan Amir and his father flee. Hassan and his father stay. Amir returns from America to find Hassan and his son who are in trouble. Cannot tell you anything more!

The way Hosseini describes Afghanistan, what is happening there, the strength of the characters – just the way the whole story has been told. Hosseini is already a legend in my eyes!

Definately a must read, do not watch the movie first though!

A true classic…5 stars! x
